Your Windsor Orthodontist
I am an orthodontist in Windsor and Fort Collins, Colorado who specializes in providing orthodontic treatment for all ages. I opened Goings Orthodontics in June 2007 with my wife, Kathryn. Together we have built our practice from the ground up into what we are today. I wanted to create a place where people feel comfortable, welcome and receive excellent patient care. I also wanted to ensure that our Windsor patients have the latest technology and advancements in orthodontics.
Windsor Braces
Windsor braces stand out as a highly effective method for orthodontic correction, utilizing either metal or ceramic brackets affixed to the teeth. These are linked by wires and small rubber bands or elastics. This combination exerts a gentle force that, over time and with regular check-ups with our specialists, moves the teeth into their desired positions.
Opting for Windsor braces is particularly beneficial for addressing complex dental issues. They can often achieve tooth alignment and gap closure more quickly than alternative methods, potentially shortening the overall duration of treatment. Braces also correct rotations and bite issues that removable aligners can struggle with, which keeps them the right choice for plenty of patients.
Windsor Invisalign
Invisalign enjoys widespread popularity among both patients and orthodontists as the leading choice over traditional braces. The Windsor Invisalign system employs a sequence of clear, detachable aligners for the gradual realignment of teeth.
These aligners are crafted from a soft plastic material, designed to fit perfectly over your teeth. To ensure continuous progress towards your desired tooth position, it's necessary to change to a new set of aligners every one to two weeks. Adherence to the recommended usage of wearing the aligners for 20-22 hours a day is crucial for the success of the treatment. Failure to follow these guidelines can hinder the desired outcomes and extend the treatment period.
Invisalign is most effective for treating a wide range of common dental misalignments. However, it might not be suitable for more complicated cases. A complimentary evaluation at Goings Orthodontics can help determine if Invisalign is an appropriate option for you.
